About MMTC

The Massage and Movement Therapy Centre (MMTC), based in Coalville, has been set up to provide a safe space gym, away from the normal commercial gyms, to enable its members to exercise without pressure or feeling intimidated, as some people do in a mainstream gym. The centre caters for people of all ages and abilities.

Offering self-led training, 1-1 personal training sessions, mixed groups, women-only and men-only classes.

MMTC’s aim is support everyday movement, specific training goals, rehabilitation from an injury or surgery, as well as promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Running alongside and working hand in hand with the personal trainers at MMTC is an experienced soft tissue and sports massage therapist, providing a wide range of treatments to ensure a collaborative and whole body approach.

Our Founder, Lorna Tudor, has treated people from all walks of life, from elite athletes, clients recovering from injury or surgery and the elderly looking to maintain an active lifestyle. Lorna continually strives to increase her knowledge base and skills and currently holds a wide range of qualifications:

  • Level 5 diploma in soft tissue and sports massage therapy

  • Oncology massage

  • Neck, jaw and chest massage

  • Dry Needling

  • Personal Trainer

  • Gym instructor – including pre / post-natal exercise and Box-er-cise

Lorna is also experienced working at fast-paced events, and has treated athletes at the following:

  • Brighton Half Marathon

  • The London 3 Day cycling event

  • World Masters Track Cycling Championships

  • National Master Track Cycling Championships
